2010 Block of the Month

This year's Block of the Month will be a 6x6-inch "Quiltie of the Month!" A "quiltie" is a small quilt or quilt block that is made of three layers – front, back, middle – just as if it were a regular-sized quilt or wall hanging. You can find ideas and insructions on making quilties by visiting http://www.alittlecreativespace.com/Quilties.php. Find our completed quilties on the 2010 BOM page.

For each month I've suggested several themes – some are serious, some are whimsical. Choose from the list, or develop your own topics into quilties ... see how creative YOU can be! When you've done as many pages as you want to, you'll be able to tie your quilties together into a book. Note – for this block of the month project you are required to do only ONE SIDE of the quiltie.

All quilties are due to be finished no later than the December 18 Uhuru meeting. Everyone who completes at least 12 will get a gift!
